Working At Home With A Velcro Dog
My twelve year old miniature dachshund Toni is driving me crazy. She has always been clinging and needy but now that she is ill she has gotten worse. She has two back problems and cannot be left alone for very long. Everytime I stand up from my office she jumps up and follows me. She can be sleeping deeply in her nest of blankets next to my chair but if I stand up so does she. I have to tote her up and down the stairs in a plastic dog crate. It’s really hard to be efficient when you have a pet that follows you like your shadow!
